Established in 1978 by Geoff and Susan Bull, Freycinet Vineyard was the first commercial winery on Tasmania’s east coast. The family planted its first vines in 1979 and made its initial wines in 1983, developing the property with guidance from early Tasmanian wine figures including Andrew Pirie, Graham Wiltshire and Claudio Alcorso. Today, the vineyard remains family owned, with Lindy Bull and Claudio Radenti guiding the business and the next generation involved across its vineyard, cellar door and winemaking work.
