Daci & Daci Bakers is an artisanal bakery and patisserie with three locations across Hobart and its inner suburbs: Murray Street in the city, New Town and Sandy Bay. The bakery combines classic patisserie traditions with modern techniques, making its products from scratch in-house and placing a clear emphasis on high-quality ingredients.
The range covers pastries, handmade cakes, petit gâteau, artisanal breads, provisions and savoury food for breakfast and lunch. The bakery says its breads and pastries are baked on site, while its breakfast offering uses local and seasonal ingredients. Its house-made preserves are served alongside breakfast, and there are gluten-free and vegan options. For lunch, the savouries are prepared with all-butter pastry, free-range eggs, seasonal vegetables, Tasmanian dairy cream, local free-range meats and artisan cheeses, with locally grown greens served alongside.
There is more to the business than a takeaway bakery counter. The Murray Street venue includes space for dining throughout the day, from breakfast and lunch to morning and afternoon tea, while the New Town shop introduced a Salon de Thé-style setting for high tea with patisserie and gourmet savouries. Tea, tisanes, coffee and sparkling wine are also available there. Across the venues, the setting is intended to recall a European coffee house, with the bakery serving as a meeting place for business, families and friends.
Founded in 2011 by Naser Daci, Daci & Daci Bakers has grown from its original Hobart location to include New Town and Sandy Bay. Its story centres on classic techniques, contemporary patisserie and a team making the range in-house. That makes it suitable for a relaxed breakfast, a catch-up over coffee and sweets, a family visit, or picking up bread, pastries and savoury food to enjoy at home. The New Town Salon de Thé is the most distinctive option for a more leisurely high-tea-style outing.
Spot Score
The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.7 from 158 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
