It is about 10 minutes from the Port Arthur Historic Site and has direct access to the beach, making it easy to fit in a swim, kayak outing, fishing or a quiet sunset after a day of sightseeing.
Accommodation includes self-contained cabins, powered caravan and motorhome sites, and grassy campsites. Powered and motorhome sites have access to water, grey-water drainage and power outlets, while clean amenities, laundry facilities and a coin-operated laundry support longer stays. A camp kitchen with a dining and television room, gas barbecues, a pizza oven, dump point, gas bottle swaps and basic free Wi-Fi add useful conveniences for campers. There is also a kiosk selling ice-creams and essentials.
The park describes its atmosphere as relaxed, with open grassy areas and a children’s playground that make it suitable for families as well as visitors travelling by caravan, motorhome or tent. Its beach access and proximity to the peninsula’s attractions also suit travellers who want a simple base rather than a town-centre stay. Guests should note that pets, fires, generators and electric vehicle charging are not permitted, and the beach and park facilities are limited to booked overnight guests. Arrivals after office hours need to be booked and paid for in advance.
