Ti Ama is a restaurant in Battery Point, Tasmania, centred on fresh pasta, wood-fired pizza, Italian-leaning antipasti and a substantial drinks list. The menu moves from simple focaccia with olive oil and olives through to more generous starters, including buffalo mozzarella with marinated vegetables and walnut pesto, saffron and mozzarella arancini, prosciutto croquettes and crispy polenta bites with truffle aioli. There are also vegetarian-friendly choices such as the wedge salad and truffle fries.
Fresh pasta is a major part of the offering, with gnocchi served with lamb ragu and parmesan, fettuccine with beef brisket ragu, campanelle with pork and fennel sausage, and creamy mushroom penne. The pizza list is broad, combining familiar options such as Margherita and pepperoni with more distinctive combinations. Bubby G brings together grilled eggplant, babaganoush, herb yoghurt and dukkah, while King Kofta pairs lamb kofta with roast capsicum, herb yoghurt and zaatar. Other choices include roasted mushrooms and gorgonzola, free-range chicken with jalapeños and house-made barbecue sauce, and pizzas topped with smoked pork, bacon and pepperoni.
For groups, Ti Ama offers a $65-per-person feed-me menu with shared starters, buffalo mozzarella, prosciutto and all-you-can-eat pizzas. Groups of eight or fewer can instead swap the pizza course for pasta for an additional $5 per pasta. Crust dippers, including chilli oil, herb yoghurt, white ranch and truffle oil, are available alongside the pizzas, and takeaway is also offered.
Drinks include signature cocktails such as a Watermelon Spritz, Tommy’s Margarita and Negroni, plus Tasmanian tap beer from Bich Brewing, bottled beer, cider and wines by the glass. Dessert covers tiramisu, a dulce de leche and dark chocolate caramel slice, and gelati. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are marked on the menu, with vegan and dairy-free substitutions available and gluten-free pizza bases offered on request. The restaurant notes that its pizza kitchen cannot guarantee meals are completely coeliac-safe, so diners with serious allergies should take that limitation into account.

The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.4 from 574 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
